The Glide Away attic ladder is a light and easy to slide away ladder. This budget two section model is designed to fit a standard ceiling height. It has a guide attached within the attic, which assists operating the ladder. It is light and easy to use. Fits into the existing trapdoor size, the ladder comes with a kit to reverse your trapdoor so as it opens down. A trapdoor latch is fitted and operating pole supplied.
In Ireland attic space has been completely under used until recently. At Al’s Attic Ladders we’ve been fitting attic ladders since the late 1980s so we’ve seen some changes. The Glide Away push away model loft ladder was what we started fitting all those years ago. Its stood the test of time. In the video above you can clearly see how this product is fitted and used. Today people often request more that just an attic ladder or folding stairs to be fitted. At Al’s ladders we’ve put some storage packages together which include some flooring and lighting as well as attic access ladders. Available optional extras with this ladder include an enlarged attic trapdoor, a new relocated loft opening, insulation to the existing opening. Also available is an Led industrial battery operated attic light; fitted for only €80, on/off sensor operated.
