Designed to fit high ceilings this heavy duty attic ladder provides safe access to an attic of maintenance room. The attic ladder is sturdy and easy to climb. It requires a minimum opening length of 70 cm although we recommend a 1 metre long opening. The minimum width required is 55 cm. The ladder folds up into 2 sections and pushes away into the loft area. The ladder is spring assisted making it lighter to push away.
The vertical clearance space required in the attic is 105 cm. The ladder needs 1.6 metres of storage space, this is the area within the loft that the ladder pushes away into. A traditional plywood trapdoor is fitted and hinged to open down. The hinged door is attached to the ladder brackets, so they push away as 1 unit. This gives the flexibility of allowing a bespoke aperture size.
